Bruce Pitts has saved the life of Blanche Roberts who had been pinned under the body of her 77-year-old dead husband. Blanche was pinned under her husband for at least two days before being discovered.

Pitts, a newspaper carrier, became concerned after seeing the Roberts’ papers build up in the mailbox. Pitts went into the home to check to see if the couple was home and found Mrs. Roberts.

Blanche was taken to the hopspital but her medical condition has not been released. Funeral arrangements are pending for Fred Roberts.

A corrections officer with 29 years on the job was assaulted and raped by an inmate working on the law library in the Duval County jail Thursday. The officer was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Jonathan Tave used a shank when he overcame the officer in an area that is mainly supervised by video and intercoms.The officer attacked was wearing proper equipment for the area; she was assigned a pair of handcuffs, a radio and pepper spray.

Tave is being held on previous charges that include murder, arson, armed robbery, and a slew of other charges. Numerous additional charges are now pending against Tave including kidnapping, 4 counts of sexual assualt and evidence tampering.

A 30-year old DeLand, Florida woman was causing quite a stir when she decided to direct traffic at an intersection topless.

Rather than having traffic flow smoothly, instead traffic was becoming hazardous because of the topless woman. The DeLand police started receiving numerous calls, and upon responding, found the woman foaming at the mouth and talking to herself.

The 30-year old woman told police that God had told her to direct traffic, with police taking her to an area hospital for evaluation.
