There’s nothing wrong with the Mitsubishi LT-46244 that a massive discount wouldn’t cure. It isn’t a bad TV, though it’s nowhere near good enough to justify its $2500 price tag.

Our judges rated its overall image quality as good, with a performance score of 77, which ranks fourth among the nine 46- and 47-inch HDTV sets we tested contemporaneously and is only 3.6 points behind the top-performing Samsung LN46A550. On the other hand, you can buy nearly two Samsungs for the price of one Mitsubishi.

I found some of the images a bit light and pale, with occasional reddish skin tones (though far less pronounced than with the LG 47LBX Opus). More troubling was a moire pattern in Mission Impossible III’s Vatican wall–something I didn’t expect to see from a Blu-ray disc screening on a 1080p set. Other judges noted some excess brightness and blur.

Dozens of devastated gamers have swamped the official GTA forums with complaints of repeated freezing when playing the much-hyped Grand Theft Auto IV. Most of the complaints are from PS3 users, though some Xbox 360s are also involved.

An Australian gamer was the first to post, stating: “I got GTA on Sunday and it freezes and I have to restart the console it happens every hour or so, I thought it may be a dodgy disc, so I took the disc back to the shop and got a new one.”

The post continues to say that the second disc also froze after just 40 minutes. One regular Xbox 360 user said that the problem comes from Rockstar programming the game so that it has no loading times. This overloads a console’s cache.

Westinghouse Digital on Wednesday released its seemingly double-jointed PT-16H610S HDTV. The company dubs the TV a Flexible Lifestyle Display, and is built around a 16-inch LCD capable of reproducing HD content in 720p (1366 by 768 pixel) resolution. The TV’s mounting and adjustability options live up to its namesake, as it can be hung upside down as on a kitchen cabinet or mounted on a wall, thanks to dual hinges and an image that rotates by 180 degrees.

The 16:9 aspect ratio TV can accept a 1080p input via an HDMI or component cables, and has a built-in ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner. An anti-glare coating makes images visible in bright conditions. Instead of buttons, the TV itself features a touch keypad. When not in use, the 16H610S folds flat.

The PT-16H610S is currently available for pre-order at Target stores throughout the US, priced at nearly $300.

Now don’t go out a start buying up chocolate bars just yet because the chocolate off the shelf has all the goodness processed out of it. A Belgian chocolatier has developed a flavanoid rich chocolate for the study and 27 grams will be eaten daily.

Women that have been through menopause will be selected to eat the chocolate daily and still carry on with their cholesterol lowering medication. The chocolate will have added soy compounds as well. .

Tunisia: A 30-year-old man has been accused of rape over a telephone conversation he had with a 20-year-old woman. The pair were reportedly having an erotic conversation when the woman screamed and indicated that she was bleeding.

According to the family’s lawyer, Maha al-Metebaa, a medical examination of the young woman showed that she had lost her virginity. He said that the allegations need careful examination. The man denies ever touching the woman.

“The intercourse did take place… verbally only. The sexual act did not really happen because the physical proximity factor is not there, yet it happened because there is a direct physical impact – the loss of virginity,” said al-Metebaa.
